Good helmet. Holds up in welding school. Lights work and it fits my 5xl head
First welding helmet that fits my eyeglasses inside and has all the bells and whistles
I'd give it 5 stars because the view is amazing the lights are pretty bright and it reacts fast but I don't like how it doesn't have the solar charge function like it was showing in the pictures . Being able to charge it with a USB c is nice but not as the only way to charge it
It’s a good hood it’s kinda heavy on your head but the technology is yeah good as well so take the pros with the cons

One of my welding husband Christmas gift. It is as it seems on pic. Beautiful eagle. Hubby loves it. It has a comfortable fit.
This works great and fits perfectly. The lights auto dim and the head adjuster is very comfortable.
I'm not sure where the almost 5 star rating came from. Does it work? Yes. Does it do what it says? Yes. When it does. I've had two now. In as many months. I bought it for my son to use for welding class on high school. The quality control on these is terrible.Problem:1. The plastic shell is incredibly flimsy. Yes, probably to keep the weight down. But it gives it a cheap Halloween mask feel.2. The battery life is horrible for the ADF (Auto Darkening Filter). Had to replace them twice in a month. He only welds like 4 days a week, and only for less than an hour at a time.3. OH! AND SPEAKING OF BATTERY LIFE! The battery for the ADF IS NOT RECHARGEABLE! It uses two CR-2032 coin batteries. The replacement of which is hard to reach. The head strap is right over the battery compartment! The slides pull out RIGHT AGAINST THE STRAP CONNECTION! The USB charging is ONLY for the side lights. The least useful feature of this helmet.4. There is NO BATTERY LEVEL INDICATOR! The ADF can just die out of the blue... WHILE YOU'RE WELDING, when the batteries just get low. It'll just fail, exposing your eyes to the UV of the arc! Right in the middle of a bead. Then turn back on. Until the battery completely fails.5. The head strap components are cheap and flimsy line the plastic helmet shield. My son has had to remove one component due to breakage. It broke while using it. The ratchet mechanism gets loose and the helmet won't stay up when that happens.6. The second helmet also came with one stone light inoperativeOn short, this is like an expensive toy. Sure, it's a budget helmet, but when you have to replace things repeatedly, budget suddenly becomes not so budget friendly.I gave it 3 stars for the price, but the quality almost made me give it 2.
