I've been playing around with this for a little while now. Says it can weld aluminum. Not TIG, but it will do it in MIG. Pure Argon shielding gas, change the liner (included), do the settings per the manual. Pull the trigger. Hot glue gun for aluminum! I know the weld looks ugly, I didn't do proper prep. Just a couple pieces of old scrap and see what happens. I have AC TIG welded aluminum before, that would never have touched this dirty metal. And MIG is so much faster, even if not as pretty. For the first weld ever (by me) with Aluminum MIG, I'm impressed how well it works.TIG is DC only. I took a couple tabs I had and welded them end to end. The TIG I have used before is foot throttle. This is on/off only with a push button on the torch. Amazingly easy to adapt to. I undercut a little, but that is just me not being the greatest operator. and this is my first TIG at home.So far everything I have tried has worked out as good or better than I expected. There are a few things I can live with, but think could be better. To run the little 1-2Lb spools of wire with the MIG, no clear instructions that the plastic adapter can be removed. You have to pull the nyloc nut, washers and spring. Doable, but it really wants the 10Lb spools of wire in there. The other annoying part is the gas ports. There are 2 ports. One for MIG, the other is shared for both TIG and Plasma. That one is just a barbed fitting. Not easy to switch between the two. I'm rigging things up with airline quick connects. Not a deal breaker, just annoying if switching between TIG and Plasma. But easy to do with common and cheap parts.For a hobby all in one machine, it's really good. Arc is stable. Predictable machine. Easy to weld with. Pretty light as well. You do need to source an Argon regulator (that works on MIG mix as well) to get half of what this machine can do to work. Without it, no TIG and no Aluminum welding. I suspect the stick welding works, I'm not a stick welder so I can't answer that. I'm really happy it has everything needed to weld aluminum as for special parts included. Just add an Argon regulator of your choice and a spool of wire.

All functions seem to work well. I cut 3/16th thick cold roll plate steal with ease. Weld functions work well up to 1/2". Haven't had to try on thicker material as of yet. For the money (well worth it).

This unit has every features that the home/hobbiest welder might want or need. It seems to be made very well and came with everything required other than welding sticks. This welder is a great value for what you get. It is small and light enough to carry around easily.

I haven’t used anything but the MiG gas 110v welding up exhaust and it does beautifully. So I’m hoping everything else works just as good and this will be a heck of a machine and super portable.

I am a hobbyist welder that does quite a bit of work with metal, and because of this I have several different machines in my garage workshop, such as a MIG welder and a plasma cutter. I use them quite often, but honestly was looking for something to handle multiple duties so I could save some space in my shop. Thanks to this wonderful little device, I can replace several different pieces of equipment with a single unit. Gone now is my separate MIG welder and plasma cutter, their places have been taken by this, and I now have more room and more capabilities. My old MIG welder could apparently do "Lift TIG", but I wanted something that was a bit more advanced that would allow me to more creatively branch out into some serious TIG welding. This is definitely that welder.My old welder was a very simple device, allowing very small adjustments only in wire speed and current, but this is a whole other level. In fact, as a hobbyist welder, I'm actually going to have to do some research into the more advanced settings this offers me, because full disclosure I have no idea what some of them do. I'm fine with that, though, because I've been wanting to expand my welding knowledge, and this is certainly a fantastic "next step" welder for folks like me who have a little experience under their belt, but are looking for a more advanced machine to take their skills to the next level while not spending thousands of dollars to do so.For the frankly bargain price of around $500, this is literally everything I need to take that next step in my welding journey. I'm now looking to pick up a new Argon tank so I can make full use of the TIG functionality, which is a few hundred bucks but money I'm looking forward to spending. Like I said, I'm no expert, purely a hobbyist, and some of the settings a pro will know I don't yet have a lot of experience with...yet. But this is definitely what I needed to both save some space in my shop and expand my welding capabilities to heights yet unseen. I'm pretty excited to explore what this machine can do, and it has now taken its place in my workshop as a cornerstone. 5 stars, very highly recommended if you're looking for something a bit more advanced, but not a lot more expensive.
